From greens and glory! Yarrambat Masters Golf Tournament showcases top talent
The inaugural Yarrambat Masters Open Amateur 36-hole Golf Tournament in April was a huge hit at the beautiful Yarrambat Park Golf Course. This Golf Australia-accredited Order of Merit event attracted golfers from all over Victoria to test their skills and enjoy the course’s charm.
Brett Kellow, with an impressive even-par score, snagged the Yarrambat Masters Open Amateur champion title, while Gary Evans won the Nett Championship.
Jack McDonald, our National Golf Programs Manager explained, “Brett was a terrific example of composure under pressure, navigating the course with precision. His remarkable even-par performance secured him the title among some extremely skilled contenders.
“In the Nett championship, Gary overcame challenges on various holes to clinch victory with a commendable score of +1. Again, against some extremely skilled competition, including a challenge from overall champion Brett Kellow”.
Jack expressed his enthusiasm for future events, “Yarrambat Park Golf Course is one of the busiest public golf courses in Victoria. It’s terrific to bring a Golf Australia Order of Merit event to the course to enable golfers from across Victoria to come together and experience the fun and beauty it offers. We’re looking forward to continuing the tournament in the future.
