This Girl Can Week (18th - 24th of March)
It is fitting that the inaugural 'This Girl Can Week' has taken place in March 2019, a month that has seen Golf Australia (and the Australian Human Rights Commission) launch guidelines for the promotion of equal opportunity for women and girls in golf.
Golf Australia CEO, Stephen Pitt is encouraging 1,500 golf clubs around the country to take a stand: “Everyone who loves our sport should be excited about this latest step we are making with the Commission to deliver a friendly experience for all golfers, regardless of their sex,” said Mr Pitt.
During This Girl Can week, Yarrambat Park Golf Course will offer the following access in a bid to promote female participation:
- Free unlimited golf participation on all 7 days, including equipment hire, practice facilities and course access. Come and try!
- $20.00 ‘This Girl Can’ golf clinic on Friday the 22nd of March (9am–12pm), a program tailored for extreme golf beginners followed by a complimentary champagne morning tea.
- 2-4-Free on Sunday the 24th, share the game you tried with the people you love.
