Tee-rific times at Yarrambat’s Par 3 Skins Event
Yarrambat Park Golf Course was buzzing with excitement on Friday, September 27th, as more than 230 golfers teed off for the highly anticipated Par 3 Skins Event. With $2,500 in prizes, the competition attracted players of all skill levels from across the region.
The course’s unique Par 3 setup made for a challenging but accessible event for all, drawing players from all levels across the region. The weather couldn’t have been better, offering golfers clear skies and a perfect backdrop to show off their skills.
Jack McDonald, National Golf Programs Manager said, “While the competition was certainly fierce, the overall vibe was relaxed, with participants clearly enjoying the sport, the company and the beautiful weather.
“One of the standout moments came with the ‘Shootout’ on the 18th hole, which added extra pressure and excitement. Players who landed their ball on the 18th green during the day’s play qualified for one final shot, a 70-meter challenge that kept the crowd on edge,” McDonald said.
Anthony Brillant took home the top honours, dropping his ball within two metres of the hole, securing bragging rights and his share of the prize money.
Once the competition wrapped up, attention turned to the prize presentation, where the $2,500 prize pool was handed out to top performers, keeping the energy high. As the sun set, the focus shifted from the greens to the clubhouse, where local musician Gary Eastwood provided live music, rounding off the event in a laid-back, celebratory mood for all to enjoy.
Yarrambat Park Golf Course’s Par 3 Skins Event has clearly set a high bar for Yarrambat Park and after such a successful day, it’s safe to say golfers will be marking their calendars for the next one.
